December 2005 was an unusually poor weather month. Usually the weather would be very settled and mostly sunny warm days, and little chance of rain.   December 2005 had very unsettled weather with most days cloudy, many days with rain and some very windy periods.  The first 19 days had the worst of the weather, almost no sun and 2 really horrible days on 15 & 16 December. The last 10 days of December had the best of the sunshine. 12 rainy days and 8 very sunny days. First half of the month medium 29 – 30 C. The sunny days had warm to hot 31 – 34 C. Seas at the beaches were mostly light waves to very calm.

June 2005 was mostly a cloudy and rainy month, with very few sunny days. Far the worst June weather that I can remember. December 2004 was much as expected for a dry season month. 8 day with some limited rain mostly later in afternoon for just a few minutes. 11 December was the worst day, dull all day and rain most of the afternoon. All other days had lots of sunshine and warm 30 – 32 C temperatures. The sea was very calm during the whole month, with the exception of a few terrible minutes on the morning of 26 December 2004 when 4 Tsunami waves struck most of the beaches on Phuket killing many people and damaging much property.
